Lord Rama - The Supreme being
The texts such as the Vedas describe the purusha as the Supreme being, Who is even beyond the scope of Manifest and the Unmanifest (nirakar) Brahm. Let us know more about the supreme being. 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐚 writes in the Agastya samhita :
वेदवेद्ये परेपुंसि जाते दशरथात्मजे। वेदः प्राचेतसादासीत् साक्षाद् रामायणात्मना॥ तस्माद्रामायणं देवि! वेद एव न संशयः॥
"Supreme being is known through Vedas. When that 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚 (𝐒𝐫ī 𝐑𝐚𝐦) 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐲𝐨𝐝𝐡𝐲𝐚, that time all Vedas manifested themselves through the mouth of Maharishi Valmiki, the son of Muni Prachetus, directly as the Sri Ramayana. Therefore, O' Devi, there is no doubt that Sri Ramayana is Vedas itself."
The Katha Upanishad says :
The Purusha who is awake even in the one sleeping and who is continuously engaged in shaping one desire after another, He is the pure one; He is the Brahman; He is called as the eternal and immortal. In Him reside all the worlds. On him do they rest. No one crosses Him. This is that (thing that we are contemplating about).
The same Upanishad also says, that Beyond The manifested and unmanifested is the Purusha, Who is the end of everything, and He is higher than the highest. Further, The Purusha Suktam mentions :
Yajur veda 31.12–13
The Moon was gendered from his mind, and from his eye the Sun had birth; Vâyu and Prâna from his ear, and from his mouth was Agni born. Forth from his navel came mid-air; the sky was fashioned from his head; Earth from his feet, and from his ear the Quarters. Thus they formed the worlds.
The Three worlds, along with all the Gods, and everything was Born from that Para Brahm.
Taittirīyōpanishad 2.1
He who knows Brahman, which is (i.e. cause, not effect), which is conscious, which is without end, as hidden in the depth, in the highest ether, he enjoys all blessings, at one with the omniscient Brahman.
The supreme Para Brahm is without a beginning and end.
The Brahm sung throughout the vedas is Lord Rāma, as Vedas themselves incarnated from the Mouth of Maharīshī Vālmīkī, When the supreme Brahm was born as the Son of King Dashratha as per Maharīshī Agastya. Lord Rāma is the Purusha of the vedas :
Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 6.117.14
akṣaraṃ brahma satyaṃ ca madhye cānte ca rāghava || lokānāṃ tvaṃ paro dharmo viṣvaksenaścaturbhajaḥ |
You are Brahma, the imperishable, the Truth abiding in the middle as well as at the end of the universe. You are the supreme righteousness of people, whose powers go everywhere. You are the four-armed.
Lord Rāma is the Supreme Purusha described in the vedas and all the Upanishads :
Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 6.117.15
śārṅgadhanvā hṛṣīkeśaḥ puruṣaḥ puruṣottamaḥ||
ajitaḥ khaḍgadhṛgviṣṇuḥ kṛṣṇaścaiva mahābalaḥ |
You are the wielder of a bow called Sarnga, the lord of the senses, the supreme soul of the universe, the best of men, the invincible, the wielder of a sword named Nandaka, the all-pervader, the bestower of happiness to the earth and endowed with great might.
As mentioned in the Purusha Suktam, He is the first creator and the Lord of the three worlds :
Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 6.117.18–19
sahasraśṛṅgo vedātmā śataśīrṣo maharṣabhaḥ ||
tvaṃ trayāṇāṃ hi lokānāmādikartā svayaṃprabhuḥ | siddhānāmapi sādhyānāmāśrayaścāsi pūrvajaḥ ||
In the form of the Vedas, you are the great Bull with hundred heads (rules) and thousand horns (precepts). You are the first creator of all, the three worlds, and the self constituted Lord of all. You are the refuge and the forbear of Siddhas (a class of demi-gods endowed with mystic powers by virtue of their very birth) and Sadhyas
Srī Rām is the Brahm described in The Taittirīya upanishad, who has no beginning and no end :
Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 6.117.20
tvaṃ yajñstvaṃ vaṣaṭkārastvamoṃkāraḥ parātparaḥ || prabhavaṃ nidhanaṃ vā te no viduḥ ko bhavāniti |
You are the sacrificial performance. You are the sacred syllable 'Vashat' (on hearing which the Adhvaryu priest casts the oblation to a deity into the sacrificial fire). You are the mystic syllable 'OM'. You are higher than the highest. People neither know your end nor your origin nor who you are in reality
He is The Supreme brahm described in the vedas, who Allots Respective jobs to eternal Gods, the Purusha, who is the source and heart of all Gods
Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 6.118.31–32
ete sendrāstrayo lokāḥ siddhāśca paramarṣayaḥ |
abhigamya mahātmānamarcanti puruṣottamam || etattaduktamavyaktamakṣaraṃ brahmanirmitam |
devānāṃ hṛdayaṃ saumya guhyaṃ rāmaḥ parantapaḥ ||
“These three worlds, including Indra Siddhas (a class of demi-gods) and great sages pay homage to the great-souled Rama as a Supreme person, on approaching him. O great one! O the destroyer of adversaries! Rama has been spoken of as the unmanifest and the imperishable Brahama (the absolute), established by the Vedas, the heart of gods and the secret of all gods."
He creates, sustains and destroys the Three worlds at The end :
Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 3.31.26
saṃhṛtya vā punar lokān vikrameṇa mahāyaśāḥ |
śakataḥ śreṣṭhaḥ sa puruṣaḥ sraṣṭum punar api prajāḥ ||
again dissolving all the worlds into himself, that great contemplator who transcends all is even capable of creating the creation again from out of him
The taittirīyōpaniṣad 2.7 says ēṣa hyēvā''nandayati which means, “Brahm delights all.” and Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 2.53 says :
rāmō ramayatāṃ śrēṣṭhaḥ
“Śrī Rāma is the foremost (greatest) among all those who delight (give bliss to) others.”
He has been described as the supreme being, who embodies everything :
Yajur veda 32.4
ēṣō ha dēvaḥ pradiśō'nu sarvāḥ pūrvō ha jātaḥ sa'u garbhē'antaḥ। sa' ēva jātaḥ sa janiṣyamāṇaḥ pratyaṅ janāstiṣṭhati sarvatōmukhaḥ॥
“O Human beings! This Deva, the Supreme soul who permeates this whole world from all directions, He alone earlier manifested inside a womb; Whatever born is he alone [his form], and whatever will born is he only [his form only], and He, with faces present all directions sitting [present] in everything.”
The Grace of Lord Rāma is the only abode :
Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 4.15.19
nivāsa vṛkṣaḥ sādhūnām āpannānām parā gatiḥ |
ārtānām saṃśrayaḥ caiva yaśasaḥ ca eka bhājanam |
And he is said to the habitable tree for the polite, the ultimate course for the woebegone, a hospice for the agonised, and for grace Rama is the only abode
And he is compassionate towards all beings :
Vālmīkī Rāmāyana 5.30.6
yuktam tasya aprameyasya sarva sattva dayāvataḥ |
samāśvāsayitum bhāryām patidarśana kānkṣiṇīm ||
It is proper for me to console the wife of Rama, desirous of seeing her husband who is compassionate towards all beings and who is of immeasurable might
Queen mandodari says after Ravana was killed
vyaktameṣa mahāyogī paramātmā sanātanaḥ | anādimadhyanidhano mahataḥ paramo mahān || 6-111-14 tamasaḥ paramo dhātā śaṅkhacakragadādharaḥ | śrīvatsavakṣā nityaśrīrajayyaḥ śāśvato dhruvaḥ || 6-111-15 mānuṣaṃ rūpamāsthāya viṣṇuḥ satyaparākramaḥ | sarvaiḥ parivṛto devairvānaratvamupāgataiḥ || 6-111-16 sarvalokeśvaraḥ śrīmān lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā | sarākṣasa parīvāram hatavāṃstvāṃ mahādyutiḥ || 6-111-17
"This Rama is certainly a great ascetic, an eternal person, having no beginning middle or end, greater than distinguished universal spirit like Brahma, the one beyond ignorance, the nourisher, wielding a conch, a disc and a mace, wearing the 'Srivatsa' mark on his chest, of lasting beauty, incapable of being conquered, a perpetual one, being the constant soul of the universe, truly mighty, the lord of all the worlds, the prosperous one having a great splendour and Vishnu, the lord of maintenance of the world with a wish to benefit the worlds, assuming a human form surrounded by all the gods in the form of monkeys, Rama killed you, surrounded by demons."

Moreover, he is even sung as "𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚" in the vedas. The Vālmīkī Rāmāyana clearly says that it is Lord Rama who performs the action of Indra
indrakarmā mahendrastvaṃ padmanābho raṇāntakṛt || 6-117-17 Saraṇyaṃ śaraṇam ca tvāmahurdivyā maharṣayaḥ |
"You perform action for Indra the lord of celestials, the Supreme Ruler, the one having a lotus in one's navel and who puts an end to all in battle. The divine sages pronounce you to be fit to afford protection to all and the refuge for all."
Further, "Indra" in vedas is said to have eliminated the "𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐦" in vedas
इन्द्र तुभ्यमिदद्रिवोऽनुत्तं वज्रिन्वीर्यम्।
यद्ध त्यं मायिनं मृगं तमु त्वं माययावधीरर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम्॥“O Indra, You eliminated the Maya-Mriga. All praises to Your Imperial sway, O' Indra !
इन्द्रः सीतां निगृह्णातु तां पूषाभिरक्षतु।
सा नः पयस्वती दुहामुत्तरामुत्तरां समाम्॥
"whether one is a demigod or a demon, a man or a creature other than man, such as a beast or bird, all should worship Lord Rāma, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who has a form of human being. There is no need of great austerities or penances to worship the Lord Rāma, He becomes easily satisfied even from a small service done to him (such a compassionate lord he is. Thus He is satisfied, and as soon as He is satisfied, the devotee is successful."
Amazing!🤩
