Lord Hanuman : The incarnation of God Shiva

Om namo bhagwathe saptha vadanaya sapthama manisha mukhaya rudravatharaya,

“Offering to the seven faced one whose seventh face is that of a man, who is the incarnation of Rudra"

 This is a Fact that Lord Shiva never took incarnations, He either changed his form ( Vrishab avatar, Sharab avatar) or Sent his anshavatars (Virabhadra, Kaal bhairav etc). But Lord Hanuman is an entirely different case, because The purpose of his birth was nothing, but to serve The lord of The universe, Prabhu Shri Ram. For that purpose, Lord Shiva himself incarnated on the planet, From the womb of Mother anjana, as Lord Hanuman Himself. So in this post of my Blog, I'll present various proofs that Agree with my point. Here we go :

1.) Agastya samhita : I hope most of you guys are well versed with who Sage Agastya is, if not about his works. He Explained about the Importance of the Aditya Hridayam strota of Lord Surya narayana, which is quite a powerful hym. In his works, He has clearly described him as A form of Shiva himself.

It's clearly mentioned that Lord Shiva himself came as Lord Hanuman.

2.) Shiv Puran : This one also mentions the same fact :

"In due course Śiva was born of it in the form of a monkey named Hanūmat. He had great strength and exploit .Even as a child the lord of monkeys, Hanūmat was very powerful. Early in the morning he took the disc of the sun for a small fruit and wanted to eat it.”

3.) Tara sara upanishad : Here also, The same fact is supported :

“From the letter ‘M’ came Shiva, known as Hanuman . Bindu is named Ishvara and is Satrughna, the Lord of the discuss itself. Nada should be known as the great Lord named Bharata and the sound of the conch itself. From Kala came the Purusha himself as Lakshmana and the bearer of the earth” The Tara sara upanishad

This can be found in any translation of The Tara sara upanishad.

4.) Mahabharata : In the Anushashan Parva of Mahabharata, Lord Hanuman has been called Lord Shiva himself :

“Thou art the mighty ape Hanuman that aided Vishnu in the incarnation of Rama in his expedition against Ravana.”

Now according to many Fantards, this one is a metaphor, But they forget that even agni, vayu are mentioned as form of Shiva and The same is written in Veds also. Vaman avatar is also called the same because We all know Shiv = Hari, hence he was addressed as vaman avatar.

5.) Vadwanal strota : the majestic Hym written in the praise of Lord Hanuman by demon King Vibhishan also describes him as And incarnation of Shiva :

6.) Ekadashi Hanuman kavach : this powerful armour, dedicated to The universal form of Lord Hanuman, was Made and recited by Lord Brahma first and it was later told by sage agastya.

7.) Narad Puran : this puran also says that Lord Hanuman is incarnation of Lord Shiva :

9) Brihaddharma Puran :

 “O Hanumana, I know you are Rudra[1] himself incarnated as a monkey in order to help Rama in wiping away the demons with their lord. Assume your mild form again and advise me what to do”.

(Chapter 18)

10) Sri hanumat charita :

इत्येवं रक्त रोमाख्य यातुधानस्य भाषितम्

श्रुत्वा कठोरं हनुमान् स्थितो रुद्र इवापर:।। 27

"Hearing such harsh things from the demon Raktarōma, Hanumān turned in to the eternal Rudra (fierce form of Śiva). (27)"

The eternal rudra here obviously is none other than Lord shiva. Some people confuse this with "Raudra roop", which means angry form.

11) sri Vaishnav Matabja bhaskara :

“In the dark-phase (Kṛṣṇa-paksha) of the Kartika month, on the fourteenth day (14th day), when day was Tuesday, in Svati Nakshatra, and in the evening time, the supremely wise and the subduer of demonic entities, Shiva as Sri Hanuman appeared from the womb of Devi Anjana. On that day (14th day of dark-half of Kartika month), one should do vrata (observe fast) and celebrate in various ways the festival of appearance day of Sri Hanuman”

12) dohawali (Tulsidas ji) :

“Good People keep affection in that body in which they can get the supreme love and affection for Sri Rama. This is the reason Shiva disowned his Rudra-form and became Sri Hanuman out of love for Sri Ram(to get his closeness and serve him)!”

13) kamba ramayana :

“When the wind God told that he is represented by Maruthi, All the other devas told that they have decided to be born, AS monkeys who will destroy enemies in earth, And Lord Shiva who burnt the three cities told that He would be born as Hanuman and so he asked “How can there be sorrow to all people in the world?”

(Kamba ramayana, Balkandam, padalam 5, shloka 206)

Even Tulsidasi in his dohawali, Shri Hanuman chalisa and Other works has addressed him as Avatar of Lord Shiva, and we can't doubt that because He himself has met all The Gods i.e Lord Shiva, Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman and has recieved their blessings.

Hence it's proved that Lord Hanuman is an avatar of Shiva and A celestial son of The strongest Marut God.
